Proof of Legal Dependents

When you filed your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you reported that you have children or other legal dependents (other than a spouse) that you support at least 50%. Before we can determine your eligibility for financial aid, you must document proof that you, the student, provide financial and physical support of the legal dependent(s).

In order to submit documentation, all students must first create a Student Forms account; please visit https://finaid.olemiss.edu/studentforms/ for information on how to set up your account. A task will be populated within the Student Forms portal. Students will need to download the Proof of Legal Dependents worksheet with the Student Forms task and upload back to the portal. Included with the worksheet upload should also be appropriate documentation requested which is listed on the worksheet itself. We typically start reviewing this application after February 1st each year.
